Comfortable Oxygen is Needed Now
The Oxy-Flex Nasal Cannula was conceived and developed by a physical therapist after years of observing numerous people suffering daily from the painful consequences of oxygen wear.
The Current Problem
Conventional nasal cannulas of today cause ear irritation due to painful pressure on the ears causing skin breakdown. In severe, and not uncommon cases, this skin irritation can lead to ulceration.
In attempts to relieve this discomfort, the tubing for the current cannula design is sometimes taped to the face and head only then to compromise skin integrity.
Current nasal cannulas also tend not to stay in the nose of patients and have actually been observed on the cheek of the patient or over to one side, not even delivering the needed oxygen.
Orthopedic injuries such as fractured hips, shoulders and wrists to name a few have also been documented multiple times from patients tripping and falling over the current frontal line system.
The Solution
The Oxy-Flex provides complete relief, and never causes sore ears or skin breakdown.
It introduces a flexible, non-ferrous material safely encased in a side-by-side PVC tubing that runs parallel to the oxygen-carrying tube allowing the wearers to manually custom fit the device to any facial type, bypassing the sensitive ears.
It also features an easy to use adjustable clip at the crown of the head that the wearers may fit as loose or as snug as they please.
It's Safer
By virtue of the design, it allows the wearers to now have the oxygen line fall safely behind them versus in front of them, and decrease aggravation with basic activities such as eating and dressing.
Current Usage
Currently in small scale use with home health patients
Our small pilot studies, please refer to testimonials, have been met with very strong positive responses.
Patients are more comfortable since there is no pressure on the face or ears.
When interviewed, they also state that they find themselves "just wearing" thier oxygen versus constantly pulling and trying to re-arrange the conventional nasal cannula device on their face.
Current Status
We currently have a patent pending status.
Our goal is to help as many people in this country and others by getting this product on the marketplace.
We are seeking a manufacturer or distributor of quality health products, who is interested in producing The Oxy-Flex Nasal Cannula and adding it to their product line.
